Finally arrived in Cape Town

Finally made it to Cape Town after many delays and almost missing my connecting flight. I have only been here a couple of hours but Cape Town has to be one of the prettiest cities in the world. The view of Table mountain and the beaches right next to each other is incredible. I am overwhelmed in the best possible way! I am staying in house with 12 rooms and 20 girls. Theres a kitchen where we'll be making food and a common room. Also the program gave us phones and they're the most outdated thing ever but at least they work.

Today was supposed to be my first day in South Africa, but as luck would have it my plane got delayed for the next day. Everyone on the flight were put up in a "complimentary" hotel. Thankfully I met these two rad girls from South Africa and we stuck together through this situation. Even though we were not prepared with warm clothes for the snow, we thought that as long as we were staying in New York we might as well go exploring. We took the bus to the subway and met many friendly people on the way. We ended up in Times Square and explored the stores and got some treats at the M&M factory. It was freezing out, but we ended up having a great time. Although my adventure did not begin in South Africa I had a great time meeting new people and exploring New York City. Hopefully our plane gets fixed for tomorrows flight and I'll be done with that 16 hour flight in no time!

Angeles National forest interterm adventure

Went on an amazing adventure with Krissy in Angeles National Forest. I had so much fun biking and making friends with squirrels. So glad I spent one of my last days in the US with this gem :)
